Stop dirty oil and gas projects!

The U.S. is the largest oil and gas producing country on the planet and drilling is expanding. Black and brown communities are most harmed by the public health impacts from the oil and gas industry. The rapidly expanding industry is exacerbating the climate crisis, undermining the gains from reducing climate emissions in the electric sector, polluting our air and water, and harming public health. In order to avert the worst impacts of the climate crisis, the Beyond Dirty Fuels campaign is working to ensure that we slow or stop the expansion of fossil fuel production at the same time as we are bringing down emissions.

By stopping oil and gas infrastructure projects and enacting safeguards that require the oil and gas industry to internalize the costs of pollution, it will thwart the expansion of the industry and slow oil and gas production. At the same time, the Beyond Dirty Fuels campaign will leverage these fights to galvanize a vibrant, diverse climate justice movement, powerful enough to erode the social license of all fossil fuels and build a just economy.
