Support Lobbying for Tennessee’s Environment by Contributing to the Defender Fund

When you make a contribution to the Chapter’s Defender Fund, you will be supporting the Tennessee Chapter’s environmental lobbying efforts in Tennessee.

In the coming legislative year the Sierra Club will work to ensure protection of our natural resources, defend the guardrails and commonsense safeguards that protect the environment and Tennesseans, and empower local communities to plan and develop a sustainable and green future.

To make these goals reality, we will advocate for Tennessee to:

  • Embrace the implementation of clean renewable energy
  • Increase the number of wild places protected and conserved
  • Reduce the waste going to landfills, and
  • Stop the development of new fossil fuel infrastructure like pipelines and reduce the amount that already exists– especially in often-targeted low-income communities.
