The DC Chapter is fighting tirelessly to protect our local air, water, nearby nature, and environment. Your gift supports our people-powered grassroots advocacy and conservation efforts and will be applied where most urgently needed. At the moment, those priorities include:

  • Advocating for the replacement of all lead water pipes across the District.
  • Mobilizing volunteers to make walking and cycling safer and more accessible.
  • Fighting to reduce emissions and keep waste out of harmful landfills and incinerators through composting, reusable packaging, and by tackling the plastic pollution harming local rivers.
  • Working to transition DC off dirty, polluting, fossil fuels like methane.

Expanding access to clean energy, and holding the DC Government and utility companies accountable for clean energy commitments.
