Your Support Protects protects Puerto Rico's coastline and advances the development of clean energy

In Puerto Rico, we know better than anyone how power outages and high electricity costs affect every aspect of daily life. Solar energy offers a better solution: resilience, independence, and the power for communities to control their own energy future.

That's why, this Earth Day, a solar energy advocate is taking to a kayak to paddle 100 miles along Puerto Rico's coast to raise funds and awareness in support of organizations working for solar energy and community resilience across the island.

Your donation helps expand clean, reliable solar energy, strengthen Puerto Rico's energy resilience, and support the protection of our natural ecosystems.

Supporting "Paddling for the Light" means supporting communities that defend public spaces while advancing clean energy, conservation, and climate resilience.

Goal: $10,000 for Sierra Club Puerto Rico Chapter

Each mile of the journey represents $100 dedicated to:

  • Expanding rooftop and community-based solar energy
  • Advancing policies that increase access to clean energy
  • Strengthening the resilience of our electric grid
  • Supporting conservation efforts for coastal ecosystems, forests, and natural areas
